FG set to shut down MMM in Nigeria, Nigerians react

1
The Federal Government of Nigeria is taking moves to shut down MMM operations in Nigeria. Speaking at the 2016 Lagos International Trade Fair, the managing director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Alhaji Umaru Ibrahim, said that regulators have set up a committee to see the end of the nefarious activities of the ‘fraudsters’ across the country.

MMM-1
I am really disappointed at the fact that Government instead facing the challenges of the Nigerians and the Nation's welfare, they have decided to swallow Panadol for one's headache. I can decide to keep my money in my house, inside my car it's all about risk and who is taking it.

I really want to tell anyone who wants to hear to leave MMM alone, if it will crash let it be, I for one have decided to take the risk, what is wrong with the government? Is that the schools that you need to build, or roads you need to fix.

Tell us today what is it that you are really fighting MMM for? Let me help you Mr. NDIC Managing Director, the fact that Nigerians no longer lodge monies in banks is becoming an issue, why not continue lodging your cash there and leave us with our risk.

Living in itself is risk, that I am a Nigerian is a huge risk, that we allowed this present government into power is also a risk which we are still taking.

Please key into MMM like South African President has done, haven't you noticed that people can now put food on their tables for their families, school fees paid with ease.

I put it to you that if you can't beat them join them. We are harmless and we are here to help Nigeria. Like I said before face other issues and let MMM be.

How I'm I not sure that you are even involved in MMM and your other colleagues.

How dare you call MMM people fraudsters and that they are involved in nefarious activities, should I tell you the shares we risked our monies in but yet nothing.

Please let sleeping dogs lie. Long Live MMM.

Below are other reactions of Nigerians:

'I will run for presidency if Trump wins US election' - Comedian

Basketmouth
Basketmouth is all smiles despite recent robbery attack
The comedian who has stated his disinterest in Donald Trump, threatened to run for president if he wins.

Stand-up comedian, Basketmouth has declared that he will run for the 2019 General Elections if US Republican candidate, Donald Trump wins presidency.

Trump is running against Democratic Party candidate, Hilary Clinton who is looking like the favourite to win the race.
“If Donald Trump wins the US election, I’m so running for the Presidential election in Nigeria 2019”.
In an interview, Basketmouth took time to comment on Nigeria's last presidential election which was won by Muhammadu Buhari.
He criticized Buhari's predecessor, President Goodluck Jonathan, whose administration  was dominated by allegations of corruption.
The comic was not shy to admit who he was rooting for in the last election.
“While many of my colleagues, friends and family members campaigned for the PDP, APC and various candidates during the last elections (and I cannot emphasize enough that it is their right to do so), I never campaigned for Buhari or any other politician.
“Indeed, I personally hoped that he would win the election and perhaps that was evident in my body language and I am happy he won. But I did not campaign for him.
“Nigeria was in a bad place by the end of the last administration and it was only a matter of time before we would have suffered the plights of Brazil and Venezuela.
“Truth of the matter is that I would have voted anyone that could speak 2 words of English against GEJ and that’s strictly based on the amount of greed and selfishness we witnessed from members of his administration in the 6 years that he sat on the rock.
“They put us in this septic tank we are in right now…. well, that and the oil price downfall among other things."
Under new president, Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerian has a new sense of hope though his administration hasn't been without some drama.

The Abduction Of 14-Year-Old Habiba and the Conspiracy Of Silence [MUST READ]

With the abduction of Miss Habiba Isyaku Tanko, a 14-year-old Christian girl in Katsina State, her alleged conversion to Islam and forced into marriage with one Jamilu and the silence of the powers that be to secure the release of Habiba to her parents tells a lot about the conspiracy of silence that is going on about the needless abduction of young Christians girls, their forceful conversion to Islam and subsequent giving of their hands in marriage to Muslim men without even informing the parents.

“….In keeping silent about evil, in burying it so deep within us that no sign of it appears on the surface, we are implanting it, and it will rise up a thousand fold in the future. When we neither punish nor reproach evildoers, we are simply protecting their trivial age, we are thereby ripping the foundations of justice from beneath new generations.” – Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn.''

On the 13th day of April in the year 2016, Miss Grace Alheri Bawa left Miya town to visit her uncles in their family compound in Siri, a village in Bauchi State. Information from her father had it that she later followed one of her uncle’s children to spend the weekend in Bauchi City in one of her uncle’s house.
The father, Elder Bawa Buba, an ordained elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Miya, in Ganjuwa LGA of Bauchi State, thought she was in the village until he received Grace’s message of Grace following his brother’s children to Bauchi.

Elder Bawa put a call to Dauda Buba, his elder brother, to whom his daughter has gone to visit to enquire whether Grace was with him as reported. To his surprise, he confirmed the information but was also told that he, Dauda, has also Islamized her and that he should forget about seeing her any time soon.
Shocked and thinking it was a joke, Bawa could not believe his ears when Dauda went further to tell him confidently to forget about having back Grace as his daughter as she is now a Muslim and has no dealings for an “infidel” like him!

BREAKING NEWS: 2 Northerners appointed as Supreme Court Justices by Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the names of Justice Sidi Dauda Bage and Justice Paul Adamu to the Nigerian Senate for confirmation as justices of the Supreme Court.
These names were included into a letter sent by the president to Senate President Bukola Saraki which was read on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.
This moves comes three days after operatives of the Department of State Security Services, DSS, acting on the orders of President Buhari raided the homes of seven federal judges, including two Supreme Court justices on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
The judges were arrested by the secret police and reportedly released on bail by “self recognition” the next day.  The midnight raids on the judiciary by the presidency has been widely condemned in Nigeria and across the continent.
Mahmud Mohammed, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, has condemned the attack on the judges and confronted the president in Aso Rock on the unconstitutional action of the DSS.
The two new Supreme Court Justice nominees are of northern extraction.

Police secure Assakio Central Mosque to maintain peace

The appearance of crucifix around a mosque in Nasarawa attracts crowd.

The police was deployed to maintain peace and urged people to live in harmony.

People were urged not to allow the presence of the crucifix cause controversy. Police have been deployed to secure the Assakio Central Mosque in Nasarawa state following the discovery the image of cross in the religious premise. The appearance of the crucifix in the vicinity of the mosque left the people in awe as hundreds of people from the area and neighboring places trooped to the place for deliverance.

The cross which is the considered the symbol of Christianity was illuminated on the ground close to the mosque. Hajara Hussaini confirmed that she was the first to see the light in the shape of a cross on Wednesday, September 28 when her mother sent her on errand. Her mother, Matan Liman also confirmed the strange appearance and said her daughter was gripped in fear when she returned. Today reports that Mr. Abubakar Bello who is the state commissioner of police visited the scene of the strange sighting and revealed the deployment of security officials. Bello also visited the house of HRM Osula Inarigu who is the paramount ruler in the town. He advised the people to try to live in peace with each other as that would bring development. The police chief said the appearance of the cross should not lead to controversy in the area which was why security had been beefed-up. Inarigu also advised the people to live in harmony irrespective of their religious differences.

Some Nigerians have interpreted the reports of the mysterious sighting to mean the supremacy of one religion above the other. However, others have doubted the credibility of the appearance of the strange cross, describing it as a fraud. Similarly, hundreds of people trooped to Saint Augustine’s Catholic Church which is located in the Nenger area of Makurdi in Benue following the “appearance” of an ‘image’ of Jesus. The church which is situated behind Government Model College became a hub for Catholic and non-Catholic worshipers after bright image fell on the crucifix of Jesus.

Before you criticize MMM read this.

I use to have this mindset about MMM and really criticised the whole process, but like its said don't judge a book by its cover.

With the prevailing condition in Nigeria, people reserve the rights to do what they want with their money, this has been there for a long time as bankers were getting richer and living a well balanced life amidst adverse conditions.

So CBN and SEC should not truncate the process. Thank God there is no account to freeze, no transactions to stall. Below are basic facts you need:

There was so much panic about MMM Zimbabwe, all those were just rumours.

What is MMM?

MMM is a global mutual aid community. MMM is social financial donation exchange network. MMM is an online community of millions of  people who have agreed to willingly extend financial helping hands to one another via donation.

MMM is not a bank, an investment opportunity, a business but simply a community of people helping each other financially.

MMM has no central pocket were money is been deposited. Transactions are done peer to peer.
MMM is being run by the community. That is you and me. We just have a technical program that regulates what we do and what we can't do. The technical system controls how much we can ask as help or withdraw; and how much we can provide as help or deposit.

MMM is composed of 3 components:
1. Provide help
2. Get help
3. Technical basic program

A provider of help is someone who has pledged to give financial help in the community. He or she can also be a receiver of help, when he or she has extended a financial helping hand to someone in the community.

A receiver of help is a member or participant who has already extended a helping hand or provided help. Thus such is qualified to receive help from the community.
So basically MMM hasn't any central account where all money deposits or donations go into; because all donations are done peer to peer. How do I mean? Donations are done via member to member transfers into their bank accounts or bitcoin wallets.

The technical basic program controls the activities of the provider of help and the receiver of help.

HOW IT WORKS

You know about the popular word 'Contribution' where people contribute money to one person and there's a book where everyone's name is written. When it gets to your turn; everybody's money is given to you.
In MMM, we make pledges to donate our SPARE money to members who need the money. We do so by logging into our MMM account (Personal office) to make the pledge. We join the queue of people who made pledges after making the pledge.
We ONLY make pledges. We don't gather our pledges to give to one person. In MMM there is no CENTRAL ACCOUNT (No bank account where all our pledges are paid into). Members transfer money directly to each other.
Now, if a member in the community who has already made a pledge to provide financial help to another member and has fulfilled his pledge now needs help, he does that by logging into his MMM account (Personal Office) to say so.
The system, connects him with the person in the queue for providing help. If it's your turn on the queue to provide help; when you log into your Personal Office, you will receive the details of the person to provide financial help to.
As soon as you pay the money directly into the person's bank account who needs that financial help and that person acknowledges he has received the money, you are now qualified to receive help.
You then log into your personal office to ask for financial help. Someone/people in the queue whose turn it is to provide help will be assigned to pay you 30% of the donation you provided + the donation money itself.

However, the owner of the brothel recruited new prostitutes from other cities to continue his business. But unfortunately, three prostitutes and their customers are today not alive to tell the story of what happened overnight that left them dead. The Nigerian Police also cordoned off the hotel, as a mammoth crowd gathered around the hotel in hopes of unraveling this mystery of the evil slaps.

Sam Allardyce leaves England job after 67 days in charge

Image result for pictures of sam allardyce

Sam Allardyce has left his position as England manager by mutual consent after just one game in charge of the national team.

I have been pondering over this issue, just after 67 days, this was to me his highest job and infact an enviable one, but so sad he couldn't keep it. He should have known better.
Allardyce was filmed advising undercover journalists on how to circumvent rules against third-party ownership, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Video accompanying the report shows Allardyce meeting twice with journalists posing as representatives of a Far East agency who were interested in bypassing rules from the Football Association and FIFA.
"You can still get around it. I mean, obviously, the big money's here," Allardyce said on the video, while also calling the regulations "ridiculous."
Former Sunderland boss Allardyce was appointed as Roy Hodgson's successor in July, and he oversaw his first, and only, game in charge as England beat Slovakia 1-0 in a World Cup qualifier thanks to Adam Lallana's late goal.
The FA confirmed that England under-21 manager Gareth Southgate will now take charge of the senior squad for the next four matches against Malta, Slovenia, Scotland and Spain while the search for a permanent manager takes place.

BREAKING: Senate opposes Saraki, says NO to sale of national assets

The senate has voted against the sale of Nigeria’s assets.
‎Ali Ndume, senate majority leader, moved a motion urging the senate to reject the proposal for the sale of the nation’s assets.
“I move that ‎the senate oppose the sale of national assets to shore up our reserves,” he said.
Senate President Bukola Saraki put the motion to a voice vote to which “the ayes had it”.
Last week, the upper legislative chamber, had debated on ways to get the economy out of recession.
On Tuesday, the recommendations from the debate were harmonised and presented as resolutions to the executive.
The federal government is mulling the sale of national assets to generate funds to finance key infrastructural projects, and to generate enough liquidity to pull the economy out of recession.
In a 14-point statement last Wednesday, Saraki recommended the sale of national‎ assets to shore up the nation’s reserves.
But, on Tuesday, his colleagues took the opposite position.
Debates over the idea of selling national assets have been raging for weeks, with Aliko Dangote‎, president of Dangote group, and Muhammad Sanusi II, emir of Kano, espousing it.
But Oby Ezekwesili, former minister of education, and Charles Soludo, former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, have criticised the idea.

Omg! New Information Emerges About Businessman Who Stripped N*ked in Abuja Begging for His N34m (Photos)

There is new development about the man who caused commotion in Abuja some few days ago by stripping n*ked because a man owed him a huge sum of money.

Chief Peter Nwadozie and wife

Some days ago, a businessman stripped n*ked at the gate of a rich man who allegedly owed him N34 million in Abuja, demanding for his money.
More details about the incident and the man has been revealed.
According to authentic sources, the man who stripped n*ked is a popular businessman known as Chief Peter Nwadozie alias Nkume from Ogboji town in Orumba Local Government area of Anambra State.

He was being owed the sum of N34 million by one rich man living in Abuja identified as Nicholas Ukachukwu.
It was gathered that Ukachukwu had used different means to try to not pay the man the money as many believed he was very tight-fisted.
He also threatened Nwadozie to send him to prison with his connection if he continues to disturb him over the money. The businessman was forced to lay curses on Ukachukwu after stripping n*ked at his gate.
However, unconfirmed sources have revealed that the Ukachukwu has finally paid the businessman his money. It was believed that Ukachukwu was forced to pay Nwadozie the money as he was ready to go the extra-mile to make sure that his money was given him.
Some had said Nwadozie had wanted to drag Ukachukwu to a shrine in their village which might have been the reason why he hurriedly paid him the money. Many people are still talking about the matter as some still insist that the man should not have stripped n*ked because of money.

Read what she had to say below:
”Saturday evening November 14 2015, reminds me of what it means to “fight for one’s life’. As I boarded a 20mins bike 4rm my school (UI) to the University college hospital (UCH, Ibadan) for a quick visit, I had no idea that was going to be my home for a while as within 5mins of leaving the school gate all I remember is a car running into my bike from the side… Me dragging my almost lifeless body away from the busy road, tasting blood in my mouth, pain all over my body, voices of concerned passers-by helping me up as they asked…“who should we call?”. “Jesus help me” was all I could mutter as I was trying hard to hold onto my life while hearing ‘Rebecca please don’t sleep, just keep looking at this light’ (Nokia torch light)
Drips, injections, doctors, questions. darkness… I couldn’t see a thing anymore… then I couldn’t make good sentences. ‘We have to run a CT scan and X-rays, to check her brain and her spinal cord’… that’s the last thing I heard. Neuro ward…that’s where I spent the following days. The nurses would clean your wounds daily but you are not to move…or turn your head, you will have to eat, urinate, poo, bathe on this bed. We need to be sure your spinal cord was not affected.’ The doctor said.
Night was the time everything about life made me sad. I was a final year student, my project was still there, and I had exams in two weeks. I cried every night. Was I going to have an extra year? I kept asking God so many questions. I depended on the nurses for everything…everything! I left the hospital and then faced reality. My project, exams. I studied hard, it was difficult because I had to wear the neck collar since I insisted on going back to school, I did not want bed rest.
first class
So everything I did, was with my neck collar, eat, drink, bathe, read. I could not bend, lift heavy things, or sleep on a bed…I would cry every time because I was in pain but I had to be strong. I read in neck collar, wrote my exams, defended my project and graduated with a 5.0 CGPA. With the help of God, family, friends, lecturers, roommate, course mates and doctors, I pulled through.
Oh!…I still do not know the car or the man who hit me…Witnesses said, he ran his tyres on us…dragged us as the bike got hooked to the car and drove off on top.
