QUESTION OF THE WEEK

A man grew up not knowing the love of a parent, it went on till he got to higher institution where he met a beautiful lady who showed him what true love was all about. She sponsored him through school, he thought of a way to pay her back, so he made a promise to marry her and in turn drop his family name and pick her family name. I know in this kind of scenario the women will be happy that they are continuing their father's name.

The question now is was that a good decision or way of pay back or not? Let me get your thoughts.  `

  1. I don't think that dropping his family name was a good decision or the best way of paying her back. There are hundred and one ways of being appreciative......making their marriage heaven on earth is far better than dropping his family name. Becky

  6. Interesting story buh i don't tink its right for him to drop family name. Yeah its right to be appreciative buh this for me is going too far. He should just treat her like a queen n make her enjoy not endure their union. My opinion tho

  7. If that's his decision, who are we to say otherwise?

  8. Depends on the part of the world the man is from. I think letting his wife keep her maiden name while married to him/sincere love would have been a better option to losing his name.

  10. He should keep his promise and change his surname, since nobody forced him to drop his family name
