Manu Garba rejects Golden Eaglets job

Former Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, has turned down an offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), to take charge of the U-17 national team.
The NFF on Wednesday announced that Emmanuel Amuneke, had been promoted to the Flying Eagles, in a communique issued after its executive board meeting.
Garba was asked to return to the Golden Eaglets, but he has rejected the offer. This to me is demotion, this man has done well, I for one feel he should have given an opportunity.

“We’d earlier settled for Manu Garba to coach the Golden Eaglets, but he rejected the offer,” an NFF source informed Goal.
“That was the reason why we were silent over who will take charge of the [Nigeria U17] team in the communique.”
Garba led the U-17 team to World Cup glory in UAE in 2013, but failed to take the Flying Eagles beyond the second round at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand in 2015.
