JUST IN! Soldier shoots voter in Rivers (photo)

Reports has it that a man identified as Lucky Igweh, has been shot in the chest by a soldier at Rumuokwuta, in Obio/Akpor local government area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital. The man, who was lucky not to have died after the incident, said that he was in a queue to vote when the soldier released a gunshot that mistakenly hit him.

Some of the images we will see are not pleasing in the eyes. This is how elections are conducted in Nigeria, this is just a state not the whole country. Its in times like this I don't want to be a Nigerian. Must we be violent to pass our message across.

According to him, there was an uproar at the polling station before the soldier shot the people and he was hit on the right chest. Reports say he was rushed to a clinic by policemen at the scene of the incident.

I watched US elections on CNN and wished elections will be conducted like that in Nigeria. Donald Trump insulting Ted but in a matured way, no blood shed, do your battle with the votes you get from the voters. I call what is going on in Rivers State now desperation for power. When will we outgrow this madness?
