A newborn baby was on Thursday morning discovered abandoned inside a carton in Nasarawa state.
The baby believed to be one day old was seen with the umbilical cord inside the carton under a bridge in Ado, Karu Local Govt Area of the state.
The baby was dumped in a refuse dump site.
Reports allege that the baby, while being taken to the office of the Social Welfare in the area died on the way.
